This will be Ted’s 7th year coaching youth softball and third season with the Rockers. Previously, Ted had coached 7 years of youth baseball. Ted is a lifelong athlete, who played high school baseball, football (team captain), and college football, and believes in well rounded athletes and playing multiple positions. Ted is committed to developing his players through a “team-first” mentality, hustle, fundamentals, and sportsmanship. He takes pride in his teams being smart, aggressive, fearless, and giving 100% effort during games and practice time. He strongly believes that, in addition to making his players the best softball players that they can be, that they will bond as a team, make lifelong friends, and he will ensure that they will have an incredibly fun and enjoyable experience on and off the field!
Steve Ball is a graduate of Illinois State University. He is a full time professional pitching and hitting instructor who has played, umpired, coached and taught softball for over thirty years. He has 4 former students who were Illinois Gatorade Players of the Year and many of his students have gone on to be successful at all college levels. His goal is to teach girls the fundamentals of the game while learning to think outside the box.
